Buy Scaffolding
Our scaffolding is suitable both for outdoor work and indoor use. You can choose between particularly robust steel scaffolding and equally weatherproof aluminium versions. Typically, extendable modular scaffolds are used as construction scaffolding. Particularly popular manufacturers and brands include Layher, Hünnebeck, Peri & Co.

Scaffolding - typical areas of use
- Classic new-build and refurbishment projects in building construction
- Work on facades, floor slabs, openings and exterior walls
- Large-scale projects such as halls, apartment blocks, commercial or public buildings
- Refurbishment of older buildings, energy-efficiency upgrades, facade insulation
- Sites where several trades work on the building at the same time
- Ideal when wide, load-bearing, continuous working platforms are needed
- Can be combined with roof safety scaffolds, stair towers or modular scaffold components
How much does scaffolding cost?
The cost of scaffolding depends on area, working height, system and equipment. As a rough guide: certified used systems start well below the price of new material, depending on size. You will find specific price examples in the table below; for an exact calculation, we will prepare your individual quote within 24 hours.
Certified used systems start well below the new price depending on size - up to 70% cheaper. Whether buying beats renting is shown in our buy-vs-rent comparison.
Scaffolding dimensions & bay lengths
Scaffolding is erected in modular bay lengths (typically 2.57 m and 3.07 m) and width classes. The chosen bay length determines stability and material requirements. CETRAC stocks all common sizes and will advise you on which combination is the most economical for your facade.
Buy used or new scaffolding?
Used scaffolding offers the best value for money and, with certified quality, is just as safe as new material. New material pays off for permanent use and the highest demands on appearance and service life. At CETRAC you get both - and with the CETRAC Rebuy option we will buy your scaffolding back later on.

FAQ - Scaffolding
Scaffolding is a temporary structure that creates safe working platforms along facades, storeys and building components. It is used for new builds, refurbishment and maintenance, and allows tools and materials to be kept right where the work happens.
Scaffolding becomes necessary as soon as work on facades, floor slabs, roof edges or exterior walls can no longer be carried out safely from the ground - in other words, on practically every building construction and refurbishment project.
Scaffolding is modular and can be extended upwards level by level. When erected professionally, it can safely cover several storeys. Our guide to scaffold load classes explains which loads are permissible per level.
In Germany, the requirements on occupational safety and the standards for scaffolding structures apply. These include requirements for side protection, load-bearing capacity, use classes and risk assessment.
A working scaffold primarily provides a safe working platform.
Scaffolding goes further and is designed for wider platforms, higher loads and more complex construction phases - ideal for several trades working at once.
CETRAC stocks components from all leading manufacturers - including Hünnebeck, PERI, RUX, Layher, Plettac and ASSCO. Many components can be combined across systems, so you can add to your existing material instead of buying everything new. We will check which parts fit together on request - our scaffolding components range provides an overview.
The load-bearing capacity depends on the system class and the specific configuration. Scaffolding is fundamentally designed for high loads, e.g. materials, buckets, tools or several trades working at the same time.
