FAQ - Frame scaffold
What is a frame scaffold?
A frame scaffold is a prefabricated scaffold system with fixed frame components such as scaffold frames, enabling particularly fast assembly and a stable facade setup.
For facade work such as rendering, painting, ETICS, refurbishment, assembly and cleaning - wherever long, continuous working platforms are needed. It is thus the classic facade scaffold; for insulation work, an ETICS scaffold is particularly suitable.
The two systems differ above all in flexibility and assembly speed.
- Frame scaffold: fast, area-efficient, ideal for facades.
- Modular scaffold: highly flexible for complex geometries.
Many projects combine both systems.
Our guide Frame scaffold or modular scaffold offers a detailed comparison.
When erected professionally with side protection, anchoring and system decking, the frame scaffold offers a very high level of safety. You can read more about the key requirements under scaffold safety.
Yes - scaffolding brackets create additional working widths, e.g. for ETICS work or rendering projects. How to use them correctly is explained under Cantilever brackets in scaffolding.
