Replace your frame scaffolding with the MGS version
Health and safety regulations require an advance guardrail to be in place before assembly and dismantling. With traditional frame scaffolding, this is a labour-intensive process – with MGS, it is already built in. That is why we accept your existing frame scaffolding as part payment.
We are exchanging frame scaffolding in widths of 0.70 and 1.00 metres – for example, Plettac SL 70 and SL 100, Layher Blitz, Hünnebeck Bosta or Rux Super – for the CETRAC MGS pole-type scaffolding.
How to swap
For the first 25 customers: You hand in your scrap material, and we’ll supply MGS – you’ll only be charged for the additional parts.
| You give | You will receive |
|---|---|
| 1 Frame | 2 MGS handles |
| 1 Guardrail to match the frame | 1 MGS guardrails – guardrails for the tilting-finger quick-release fastener (MGS-A) or ‘bear guardrails’ for the tilting pin (MGS-K) |
| 2 used diagonal braces | 1 new diagonal brace |
| 2 second-hand toe boards | 1 new MGS toe board |
What you keep: your own decks, brackets and other accessories remain your property and continue to be used with MGS-A – only frames, guardrails, diagonal braces and toe boards are exchanged. For Plettac and Rux frame scaffolding, the MGS standard is also available with a tilting finger – then you keep your diagonal braces as well.
Parts required specifically for the stem version – such as support bars and longitudinal bars – are not included in the exchange and will be charged separately.
Every scaffolder knows: sooner or later, the switch is a must
Without advance guardrail, the crew works unprotected on every lift during erection and dismantling – it is only a matter of time before something happens. That is why every scaffolder knows: the switch to scaffolding with advance guardrail is coming, sooner or later.
Until now, the investment was the obstacle
Buying new material and parting with existing frame scaffolding below its value – this high investment has so far kept most companies from switching.
CETRAC makes the switch affordable – because we can
We are strong in marketing used scaffolding. We bring your frame scaffolding to market at the best possible price and credit this value directly against your new MGS. This turns a major investment into an affordable switch – with the first-customer offer, you pay only for the additional parts.
A solution for every system
- mMGS-A is also available with metric guardrails
We also accept Plettac, Hünnebeck or Rux frame scaffolding in exchange. - 1:1We always exchange original Layher scaffolding parts 1:1
For all scaffolding contractors.
Eisenberger Gerüstbau is switching to MGS-A
We were able to secure Eisenberger Gerüstbau GmbH as our first client: there, a total of at least 400,000 m² of facade scaffolding will be replaced with the MGS-A system.
Nico Labes, the managing director of Eisenberger Gerüstbau GmbH, was immediately impressed by the MGS-A quick-release fastener. In his view, it is the best system with a leading guardrail currently available on the market.
How the exchange works
- List your stockCount the frames, guardrails, diagonal braces and toe boards – enter the figures in the exchange calculator or enquire directly.
- Receive new scaffoldingOnce your swap material has been sold, we deliver MGS-A (available from 2027, DIBt approval applied for). You keep using decks, brackets and accessories.
Selling takes time – and it runs in parallel with the approval procedure. DIBt approval for MGS has been applied for and is expected in the foreseeable future. Start now and lose no time.
Steuerlich planbar

Two versions – our recommendation: MGS-A
- AMGS-A with tilting-finger quick-release fastener Favourite
The star of the show when it comes to leading guardrails – it doesn’t get any quicker than this. Attaching and detaching in the blink of an eye saves the scaffolder time and money on every bay. Patent pending. - KMGS-K with a tilt pin
Tried-and-tested tilt-pin connection on the handrail post with ‘Bärchen’ handrails – tried and tested, but slower to attach and detach than the MGS-A.
DIBt approval applied for: Available from 2027. Approval is expected in the foreseeable future – a plus for Germany; in most other countries it is not required. Until then in Germany: individual proof of stability – we will advise you.
Calculate exchange
This is a guide price; the material has not been tested. We will specify the bolts and any other additional parts in the quotation.
Hook it on? Let it drop – that’s it.
With the tilt-finger quick-release fastener, the guardrail is simply placed over the tilt-finger from above and allowed to drop into place. It locks securely in place straight away – no fastening, no threading, no tools required.
When dismantling, the fitter stands one level lower and cannot reach the upper tilting finger – nor does he need to: he lowers the first standard arm – the opposite movement to that used during assembly – and removes the guardrail by its tilting finger. At the other end, where the standard is still in place, he lifts the guardrail slightly and removes it – without operating the tilting finger. Of course, if you prefer, you can also remove the guardrail at any time by lifting the tilting finger.
This means that the advance guardrail moves along bay by bay in a single pass – both during assembly and dismantling. Every second saved per bay adds up to hours on the building site.
