What is a facade scaffold?
A facade scaffold is a temporary working scaffold erected directly along a facade, providing continuous working platforms.
A facade scaffold is a working scaffold erected parallel to the outer facade of a building. It creates continuous, stable working platforms at various heights and enables tradespeople to work safely and efficiently across the entire facade.
The two most important system types on the German market are the frame scaffold (e.g. Layher Blitz, Hünnebeck Bosta, Plettac SL) and the modular scaffold (e.g. Layher Allround). Frame scaffolds are quicker to erect and ideal for straight facades; modular scaffolds offer more flexibility for complex geometries.

What is the difference between basic and full equipment?
The basic equipment comprises the main load-bearing components: frames/standards, decking and railings. This allows a standard-compliant scaffold to be erected, but without additional accessories.
The full equipment additionally includes brackets, access decks, toe boards, diagonal braces and, where applicable, stairs. For most construction sites, the full equipment is the more practical choice - it saves later reorders and immediately meets all safety requirements.

The Layher Blitz scaffold (System 73 / System 109) is the most widely used frame scaffold in Germany. The Hünnebeck Bosta system is available in two main variants (Bosta 70 with a width of 0.70 m). It is known for its robust construction, easy handling and very good value for money. It is particularly popular with medium-sized businesses. CETRAC holds one of the largest Hünnebeck stocks in Germany.
Plettac SL - the low-cost entry point
