FAQ - working scaffold
A working scaffold is a temporary structure with a continuous, safe working platform. It enables precise work on facades, interior walls, ceilings or installation areas and provides space for material, tools and people. Our guide How to erect a scaffold correctly shows how assembly works step by step.
It is needed for all tasks that can no longer be carried out safely from the ground – e.g. painting work, installations, drywall construction, assembly, cleaning or smaller facade jobs.
Working scaffolds are modular and can be flexibly extended in height depending on the system and project requirements. The individual levels can be adapted to the planned working height. We explain which loads are permissible in our guide on scaffolding load classes.
A working scaffold primarily serves safe working and provides a steady platform for finer tasks.
A construction scaffold is more robust, wider and designed for several trades at the same time. It carries higher loads and is suitable for more complex construction phases.
CETRAC carries components from well-known manufacturers such as Hünnebeck, PERI, RUX, Layher, Plettac and ASSCO. Many systems can be combined on a project basis – our guide Scaffolding systems & compatibility shows which components fit together.
Safety depends on:
- the system class,
- the side protection,
- the correct assembly,
- and the risk assessment.
When erected properly, working scaffolds offer a very high level of safety.
You can read which permits, obligations and standards apply in our guide Scaffolding safety: permits, obligations & standards.
