Scaffolding systems & compatibility – what fits together?

When buying used scaffolding components, the most important question is: is the material compatible with my existing stock? The wrong combination can not only delay assembly but also jeopardise the structural approval. In this guide you will learn which systems we stock and how compatibility is regulated.

The top manufacturers in our warehouse

We permanently stock over 40,000 individual parts from the market-leading manufacturers. Each system has its own advantages:

  • Layher: The world market leader. Especially the Layher Blitz (frame scaffold) and Layher Allround (modular scaffold) are industry standards.
  • Plettac: Known for the Plettac SL 70 / SL 100 system. It is characterised by very fast assembly.
  • Rux: The Rux Super system is particularly popular in northern Germany and among facade builders.
  • Alfix & MJ: These manufacturers produce high-quality systems that are often structurally identical to the market leaders mentioned above.

Compatibility matrix

The following table shows which systems are fundamentally identical in design. Important: Always check the individual DIBt approval number (Z number) for so-called “mixing”.

The “mixing approval” – what you need to know

Are you allowed to mix parts? Yes, but under certain conditions.

Many manufacturers (such as Alfix or MJ) have obtained official approval for their components that permits use in combination with Layher or Plettac.

  • Your advantage: You can use our competitively priced used parts to expand your expensive existing stock.
  • Inspection obligation: When erecting, make sure the approval documents are available on site.
