FAQs - formwork
Which formwork is right for my construction project?
That depends on the component: for walls you use wall formwork, for slabs slab formwork. Round components such as columns or tanks require circular formwork, large special shapes call for flexible girder formwork. If you are unsure which system fits your project, we are happy to advise you and show you suitable used alternatives.
Is the formwork compatible with other manufacturers?
Many elements are compatible with systems from Doka, PERI, MEVA and other manufacturers – the decisive factors are grid dimensions and tie technology. On request, we check the exact system compatibility with your existing stock before purchase. You will find an overview of our systems in the formwork range.
What is the permissible fresh-concrete pressure?
That varies depending on the system and frame height – common frame formwork systems are designed for around 60–80 kN/m² of fresh-concrete pressure. All our formwork meets the relevant standards (including DIN 18218) and is engineered for high concrete pressures. We will provide the exact specifications of your preferred system on request – more in the formwork overview.
Can I reorder individual formwork panels?
Yes. Formwork panels, ties, props and other accessories are available individually and in variable quantities – ideal for repairs or replacing worn parts. We also stock matching spare parts for existing systems. More on our wall formwork page and in the entire formwork range.
How do I properly maintain formwork elements?
Regular cleaning after each use, careful striking and high-quality release agents significantly extend the service life and ensure a smooth concrete surface. Store the elements dry and protected against deformation. Well-maintained used formwork often performs just as well as new material – for example our inspected slab formwork.
