What is a facade scaffold?

A facade scaffold is a working scaffold for continuous work along a facade – for example plastering, painting, insulating or maintenance. It provides a safe, continuous working platform on every level. Certified used facade scaffolds are available at CETRAC up to 60% cheaper than new material – more on the facade scaffold page.

Aluminium for light, fast projects – steel for long periods of use & higher loads. You will find a detailed comparison in our guide Inspecting scaffold decks – wood, steel or aluminium?

It depends on material, area, duration, complexity and trades. Our guide to scaffold load classes and the overview Scaffold systems & compatibility provide orientation.

Which safety components are mandatory?

Mandatory are three-part side protection consisting of a top rail, intermediate rail and toe board, safe access points or access decks , and sufficient anchoring to the wall – each according to manufacturer and standard specifications (DIN EN 12811). The obligations that apply during erection are summarised in our scaffold safety guide.

With tools such as EasyFlow powered by CETRAC – ideal for structured area determination before buying. How area and costs are made up is shown in our example Scaffolding for a single-family home – what does it cost?
